Welcome to the Children’s page of the Indonesian Embassy’s website. I hope that you enjoy your visit to Indonesia through this page and learn a lot about the country’s location, people, and culture.

Since I began my tour of duty as the Indonesian Ambassador to the United States on January 13, 2006, I have had a dream that as many children as possible of the United States will understand and know more about Indonesia. I always believe that it is important for you to get to know Indonesia more.

Indonesia is the fourth largest country in the world in terms of population after China, India and the US. Indonesia has many similarities with the US, like for example both countries are heterogeneous, pluralistic, and in history we had to engage ourselves literally in an arm struggle to free ourselves from colonialism. Even our national motto has the same meaning, Unity in diversity.
